THE UPHEAVALS ARE JUST BEGINNING

As for the Bush Administration, to say it is faced with a
plunging loss of credibility, is almost an understatement. The President's performance in the Rose Garden on Tuesday,
including his insistence that the wave of bloody attacks in Iraq
showed "progress," has led to a wave of cartoons
and comments about his fragile mental state.
LaRouche notes that Bush's signs of craziness reflect
how upset Bush is about Cheney, whose disloyalty and outrages
he has been informed about, and whom he would like to get rid of,
but just doesn't know how he can bring himself to do it.Meanwhile, the Senate is proceeding
in its pursuit of investigations which are headed,
not so subtly, for the Vice-President's office. It Is NOT going to get any easier for the President,
as the Iraq situation continues to blow up.Right behind it is the "acute phase" of the monetary-financial crisis,
which the Spin-Meisters in the Administration are doing their best to counter. The latest hilarious example -- the announcement of a 7.2% increase in GDP
in the 3rd quarter, in the midst of a national debate on the need
to save manufacturing jobs, state bankruptcies, and a hemorrhage
of job losses -- may actually have gone too far.Even Congressmen are now saying that real unemployment is at 15-17%,
and the fact that the only thing really growing is debt (including in the housing market)
is obvious to any sane person not into blowing up bubbles. And while the neo-cons, led by Cheney and a hyper-active swinish Richard Perle,
are desperate to launch a new war, to try to save their dreams of empire,
they too may have run into some trouble in Israel. No less a figure than the Israeli Chief of Staff,
Gen. Moshe Ya'alon, has effectively admitted
that he was the source of public criticism of the Sharon government,
for having created the conditions for the collapse
of the Abu Mazen Palestinian government.Ya'alon's statements yesterday were backed up with a
statement by the Israeli Defense Forces defending his criticisms. What is coming together is an institutional move against the Jabotinskyites,
in the wake of the stir that's been made around the Geneva Initiative
and the pilots' refusal to bomb in the Occupied Territories.Sharon may not be able to go ahead with the neo-con agenda.
In fact, as we know, the upheavals are just beginning. The only thing certain is the fact that
LaRouche is the only qualified candidate running for President.
